Literacy in the Bag is a book drive event hosted by Texas Tamale Company and iWRITE to encourage and foster the growth of literacy in Houston. With the help of our literacy partners, we are giving back to the Houston community to build a better future. All collections will be given to Title I elementary and middle schools along with the Friends of the Houston Public Library.

As a Collection Driver, you will slowly drive alongside collectors in their designated neighborhood section. Collections bags will be placed in vehicle as the crew goes about their section. Once the vehicle is full: the driver will take the books and the crew to drop off books at sorting station. Works best if Driver has a larger vehicle.
