Big Brothers Big Sisters: Build a friendship with a Little
Millions of children in the United States face adversity. Children who have positive role models are more likely to succeed than those who do not. Big Brothers Big Sisters one-to-one mentoring services are proven to help children overcome adversity and beat the odds. We are currently looking for more Bigs to remove the 900 children on our waiting list. Becoming a Big Brother or Big Sister is simply about building a friendship. Whether spending time out in the community or in a school setting. Community-Based • Matched with Little between age 7-14 • You decide when to hangout, do activities together for 4 hours a month • Matched with Little in a 10-15 mile radius • Professional support staff to assist you • Mentor as an individual, couple or family. School/Site-Based • Matched with a Little in elementary/middle school • One hour per week visit school to spend time with little (ej. Do homework, lunch, throw ball, library and etc.) • Matched with a Little in a 10 minutes radius of work • Professional support staff to assist you Click here to complete a volunteer application.
