Holiday Book Sorting Volunteer
Please join the Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation this holiday season as we build home libraries for children in need. Join us in sorting books at the Books Between Kids warehouse. Books Between Kids is a non-profit organization founded in 2012 to serve Houston’s at-risk children by providing them with books to build their own home libraries. This event is very family friendly as we welcome children as young as five, with adult supervision. Take time from your holiday activities to give the gift of literacy to Houston's at-risk children! As a volunteer you will help inventory, sort, and box children's books, preparing them for distribution to low-income HISD elementary students.
